 Sara Baumann is a graduate of North Dakota State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education. She completed a Master’s Degree in Conducting from the American Band College at Southern Oregon University. Mrs. Baumann is currently in her 15th year as director of bands at Mandan Middle School in Mandan, ND. She serves as co-manager of the ND JH All-State Band Festival. She was a recipient of the NDNBA Allegro Band Award in 2008. Mrs. Baumann is a member of the Missouri River Community Band and is the principal saxophonist in the Bismarck-Mandan Wind Ensemble. She serves as a board member of NDMEA and NDNBA. She is a member of NAfME, NBA, and Phi Beta Mu Honor Fraternity. Her husband, Jon, is the Director of Bands at Mandan High School in Mandan, ND. They have two children, Nora and Jacob.
