Evan Meiers received his Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Minot State University in 2009. He also has a Masters of Music Education degree from Northern State University. Mr. Meiers is currently the Director of Bands for Minot High School in Minot, ND. He is also the director for the Magi Drumline in Minot, ND and directs the Drumline at the International Music Camp located in the International Peace Gardens. In 2014 the Stanley High School band (under the direction of Meiers) received the North Dakota Governor’s Band award. In 2023 Mr. Meiers received the “Instructional Performance Award” at Minot Public Schools. Meiers is an avid performer of the percussion arts in and around the Minot area. He also farms with his wife Erin and three daughters, Emery, Eila, and Eilsey.

Rebecca Elliott received her BM from College in Moorhead, Minnesota in 2019. She is currently the 6-12 Band Director at Valley City Public Schools here in North Dakota, but began her teaching career in Fertile, MN as the 5-12 Band Director and 2-5 Elementary Music Teacher. Her passion for student inclusion in the arts, background in rural teaching, and desire to helpcontinually improve the band legacy in North Dakota lead her to the opportunity to serve as a Member at Large for the North Dakota National Band Association. She has been a member of NAfME since 2018, a member of Minnesota’s Band Director’s Association since 2019, and NDNBA since 2021.
