Kari Hill received her B.A. in Music Education and Spanish Major from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, M.M. in Music Education from St. Cloud State University, and English Language Learners Certification from Valley City State University. She presently teaches 5-12 band, piano, world drumming, 5th grade general music, and EL in the Rugby Public School District.
Over her career Kari has taught K-12 music, World Drumming, Piano, Music Appreciation, Spanish I., Spanish II., and EL. She began her teaching career in Lignite, ND at Burke Central where she taught for two years. She continued her career in Long Prairie/Grey Eagle, MN for four years, eight years in Minto, ND and began teaching in Rugby in the fall of 2011.
Kari is a member of NDMEA, NAfME, NBA, NDBDA, Phi Beta Mu, NEA, NDU, TESOL, Dakota TESOL, and is on the Board of Directors for the International Music Camp. She lives on a farm near Overly, ND with her husband David who is a farmer. They have three very spoiled pets, an Alaskan Malamute named Sitka and two cats….Ole and Roni.
